Planetskier: Barcelona Beach Dip

Just what the doctor ordered for the darkest day of the year, December 21st. We saw amazing, mind-blowing things (such as Gaudi's creations) during the day, but still.. what felt best was walking barefoot on beach sand, feeling the sunshine and wind on my skin, and dipping my feet into the sea.

We were at the Nova Icaria Beach in Barcelona. The local name of the beach is Platja de la Nova Icària. More information from the beach can be found from the Barcelona tourism page or the Lonely Planet page.

The beaches continue from this beach towards north, with nice restaurants and bars lining up the shoreline. The next beach is Platja del Bogatell.
